The February Nashville Trade Show marked the debut of The Flock. Our fun and inspiring twelve month series of progressive full size charts that contain a portion of Faith, a stitched piece on linen, plus a bonus Assemblage member of the Flock.

The quote is, "Faith is the bird that feels the light, when dawn is still dark," I love this phrase because it can mean so many things - not only religious faith, but faith in others, faith in yourself, or faith that things will always work out (whatever is troubling you.) And, it's the reason I wake smiling, just before dawn on "open window" mornings, listening to the birds begin their day.

Charts will release one each month. Contact your favorite shop and sign up to receive each chart and its accoutrements automatically. The second chart releases April 1 (or sooner if your shop is a member of my auto ship group.)

Daily Life continues with p059 Bake Fat Pies! This is Pearls chart 7 of 12 that surrounds full size chart 9040 Garden Daily.All are stitched on one large piece of Weeks Dye Works 30 count Blue Jeans linen using over-dyed floss from Crescent Colours, embellished with colorful over-dyed buttons and placed in a frame from East Side Mouldings. Five more charts complete this fun series - one released each month. Accoutrement pack is A-p059.

Fresh Mesh
Still lovin' those Walker Bags! Presenting new designs inspired by summer and election campaigning. Chart 9041 Fresh Mesh: Waving Flag shows your love at least for our country, if not for the politicians. Stitched on black Walker Bags, using three strands of over-dyed floss from Weeks Dye Works. I whipped up a bunch of zipper fobs to embellish the clutch and they can be purchased separately. Zipper fob is A-9041.

Chart 9042 Fresh Mesh: Beach Summer cannot come soon enough nor last long enough in my world. I've even been known to extend it by traveling to warm spots in the winter. Flip Flop Tote and Sunglasses Clutch are stitched on lime Walker Bags using three strands of over-dyed floss from Weeks. My hand-made zipper fob is A-9042. Walker Bags can be ordered from your local stitch shop. Once the stitching is complete, it's ready to go. No frame or finish required!

Sadie Stuart
Our prairie girl, Sadie Stuart, presents her fourth piece, Chart 9055 Summer Bee Sampler. Sadie has a wicked sweet tooth and adores the honey that bees provide. To celebrate the goodness she stitched her sampler with a bee instead of the letter "b" and made a wonderful rose vine for him to visit. Stitched on Weeks Dye Works 28 count Blue Jeans natural gingham using over-dyed floss from The Gentle Art. Roses are a woven spider stitch using Crescent Colours over-dyed trim. All specialty stitches are illustrated. Accoutrement pack is A-9055 and frame is by East Side Mouldings.

Noughts and Crosses
This is a fun, permanent version of Tic Tac Toe (in the States) or Noughts and Crosses in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India and the British Commonwealth. Chart 9056 Noughts and Crosses: Fox & Hen consists of a game board stitched on Weeks Dye Works 20 count Cappuccino linen using a single strand of Caron Collection Watercolours, embellished in the corners with four over-dyed star buttons, and laced over quarter inch foam core, with a black mat backing.

Our X's and O's get a make-over as perennial foes, the Fox and Hen. Playing pieces are stitched on Mill Hill/Wichelt Antique Brown Perforated Paper with coordinating card stock to finish.
